With the development of navigation
systems for autonomous vehicles and the improvement of computers performance,
the first industrial mobile robots appeared. However, their current application
scope is broader. A mobile robot conjugates in a single automatic device the
mobility of an autonomous vehicle and manipulation skills of a conventional
robot. In this domain, the AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicle) and the AS/RS
(Automatic Storage / Retrieval System) are the most important devices for
manufacturing and distribution enterprises. In
